No, dont' worry, I'm not going to talk about spider stew....

Yesterday, when I went grocery shopping I saw some wonderful strawberries: greenhouse-grown, all right, but they looked and smelled wonderful - and they were at bargain price, as well.  How could I resist?

So today I thought I might use them in a fanciful manner and went hunting for recipes on the internet: what I found was instructions for the simplest of desserts, clafoutis.  What's wonderful in this recipe is that's it's simple and not calorie-heavy at all.

Look what came out of just 250 grams of strawberries, 50 grams of flour, 30 grams (only!!) of sugar, one egg and 50 ml. of milk...

I wish I could share the wonderful way it smelled, too!

Better than spider stew, isn't it?

Hmmm.

You've got me wanting to go buy strawberries.

But until I do get the strawberries, what am I to do with the 500 grammes of spider I have in my fridge?

mmmmm Sounds (and looks) good! I've not heard of that dessert before, but if it has strawberries in it, then I'm all for it :D

The recipe's French in origin, as far as I know.
It was a small "sin" and it did not tax my conscience too much... :-)

You should cook it and place it in storage in a pod's navigational systems!
At least that's what Rygel would do... :-D

It was new to me as well, and I saw it can be done with peaches as well (either fresh or canned), or apricots, or apples or all sorts of fruits you like.

What's great about strawberries is that while cooking they "stain" in red the rest of the cake. Yummmm... :-)
