What do you mean you've never watched Farscape???
Where have you been all these years? Maybe marooned on a deserted island, or adrift on a raft on the ocean, or mesmerized in front of the tv watching (ewwwww...) reality shows?

Ok, no panic. Take those shiny DVDs, put them in the reader and START WATCHING!
What? You want to sample it first? Ok, let's see...
You could start with THRONE FOR A LOSS - suspense, adventure and a bit of naked aliens!

Not bad for starters, indeed.
Then you could watch THE WAY WE WEREN'T - drama, shadows from the past and momentous revelations:

Or you could try with DOG WITH TWO BONES - because no tale is really good without a wonderful, gripping, romantic and tormented love story...

And if after that you're still not interested... well, I guess there is something wrong with you.
Or maybe you're a Scarran in disguise!

My only objection to the second one is that Velorek's face is kind of obscuring John..so I had to twist my head sideways and squint..but there he is! I am happy again! ;)
Love the third one - the coin toss in between the two of them is beautiful!
Ok you have convinced me, I am going to give Farscape a shot and see if I like it!
Lovely job, Nym! :)

Date: 2012-05-21 03:35 am (UTC)My daughter is trying to introduce the show to a friend. She asked which episode to use, and I told her she just had to start at the beginning...or at "Nerve" where I was scaped...

Date: 2012-06-04 12:01 am (UTC)On a somewhat related note, my mom and a couple of my aunties were over yesterday. Mom is 70, auntie one is 73 and the other is 69 (these are her younger and older sister). Anyway, my Farscape comics were sitting on the coffee table (heh...well placed). i walked into the room and my mom was explaining Farscape to them, something like this:
Ok, and this one...he's sort of like married to the ship...no, no, attached but it's very painful. And this one, I love the way she moves. And this other one...she's not pretty/pretty but she's very striking and a very good actress...
etc, etc. I didn't realize mom had paid such close attention. Then she wanted me to show them the "limited gene pool" clip from Sg1
ah, mom--I was so impressed!
