farscape_land Challenge 006 - phase 2

Interesting challenge this one: create a musical mix for a character or an episode. Two are even better...
So, here we go!

First character: AERYN SUN

Hardly a surprising choice for me! For this one I used only songs from Annie Lennox: many of her songs, or snippets of their lyrics speak "Farscape!" to me, and the ones I chose all share some detail that makes me think of Aeryn Sun and her path to "being more". These choices reflect various moments of her story arc.

Second character: ZHAAN

For our Delvian Pa'u my choice fell on purely instrumental pieces from different authors: what they have in common is the sense of mystery and otherwordly calm, laced with a touch of poignant sadness that are so much part of Zhaan's being.
The lack of lyrics adds, in my view, to Zhaan's ethereal quality, something that can't be put down in words.

It would be easy to believe that Farscape has little or no interest in exploring spiritual matters: the frequent focus on scatological images or language, and the abundance of body fluids of any kind, seem to leave no room for higher considerations.

But that's hardly true.
